Our kitchen – The hub for diseases

Kitchen plays an important role in Indian household and in the life of Indian women. In contemporary days we have forgotten the importance of our spices, food, food style and its benefits.

Due to lack of, improvements of technology upgradation of the services our folks have lift the habit of cooking basically.

The culprits in our kitchen

The moment we enter into our kitchen we see the gas stone, which is the biggest culprit followed by other such as refrigerator, rice cooker, pressure cooker, mixer , grinder , oven etc… the list is never ending.

therefore how to escape from this trap of spoiling our health plays on important role.

How to escape?

Gas stove :

Cooking on a law flame helps us to digest the food faster and the stomach doesn’t feel heavy because the food cooked in low flame has Laghutva [Lightness] and Samatva [Evenly cooked] and devoid of Amatva [toxicity during digestion] Low flame cooking is properly processed by vayu (air), jala (water) and agni (fire) is appropriate to promote health and growth.

Pressure cooker

Cooking under high pressure may reduce the time of preparation but it will hamper your health within no time (kala)

kala(time) plays an important role in cooking food needs to be prepared and consumed timely in pressure cooking the food /Ahara is guru(heavy) for digestion and has toxicity in long consumption so minimize the usage of cookers and say yes to open vessels.

Refrigerator

Our godown to dump things ; Now a days not only dairy products, vegetable and Greens but we have also started to store grains, pulses, flour and what not

Food needs to be consumed within a span of 48minutes/ 1 muhurtha kala of preparation but we store the left over in it, reheat and consume which leads to gastric issues, slow down our metabolism.

Indeed even the fresh veggies and fruits theirs nutrients and naturality

Oven

Baking is an age old method to bake or cool things but we use it to reheat the left over food or frozen food.

Reheating causes damage to the nutrients and heavy for digestion which in turn causes a lot of metabolic issues.

There are a lot of mistakes we do while cooking, storing the goods and many misconceptions about Ahara i.e food.

Ayurveda says Ahara, vihara and kala are the ways for health and diseases.
